  1. Sell More Product

Want to go to the next level in packaging, without spending all your money on packaging. These boxes look professional, properly protected ship beautifully and most of all, give you more area to label, for a very professional look. We use these to bring a level of professionalism to our products. I am dead honest about formulating myself, from the ground up, however that does not mean a hand lettered ingredient list.

This allows you to place labels on your containers inside that focus on your name and what the product is. All ingredient lists can legally go on the box, as well as room for lists, if you've gone to the trouble and expense of having your product tested for SPF. It holds a small fold up of the required sheet, without having to attach it another way.

It grabs attention at shows and places you into a position of knowledge when you are going to wholesale your product.

I cannot suggest the boxes strongly enough, if you want to compete and win, against larger companies. Since the customer cannot see the item through the box, unless they are, Clark Kent," always have a sample section when you sell at a show. I have one that I hover over like a Siberian Husky looking at a steak that's just out of reach. I do not allow customers to touch product. I have dispsable brushes for that, as well as inexpensive samples in bags with full incis. NEVER LET your potential customers touch your product. Use a spatula, or other disposable item instead. Samples sell, packaging sells and a visual of the product sells.

Also, and this is my number one tip. If people want small formulators to look like they are not re-packaging, take the, "Handmade Pledge," print it out, put it in a sign holder from Staples, etc and let them know this was a labor of love for your small company. Packaging that is really slick is a turn off. There is a subtle line between, "look I made it myself," in Crayon and something that Madison Avenue put out. You can have professional packaging and should, but not too professional. You can hire someone, but make sure they give your company YOUR stamp. Iconic, elegant, reachable and simple. Nothing uber ornate. Worked for Kiehl's. :)
