Product Description
Ingredients: Extracts of Oregano leaf extract, Thyme extract, Cinnamon bark extract, rosemary leaf extract, Lavender Flower extract, Lemon peel extract, peppermint leaf extract, Golden Seal Root extract and Olive leaf extract.
Solubility: It is soluble in oil
Recommended percentage of use: 0.5%
Suprapein is a broad spectrum preservative and is a good natural alternative to synthetic preservatives. As to the shelf-life it varies depending on the type of product, it's ingredients and the environment in which it has been produced.

my product failed micro 4 times and i even used it at the min recommended rate. i was using leucidal liquid from Formulator sample shop and I will go back to using it.
Hi Nancy,
Not knowing what you are trying to preserve I will say you need to use the proper preservative for you formula and this can be tricky. For starters though..
Suprepien is oil soluble, Leucacidal is water soluble. A water soluble preservative is better for a formula with high amounts of water as you can add it to the water phase and it will better bind to that phase. An oil soluble preservative is better for oil soluble products such as lipstick and balms and butters with high amounts of oil and less water. It can be added to the oil phase but can no be added to the water or bind with the water.
