(M-BF4) steam distilled seeds: settling, encouraging and diuretic. This hardy herb was originally from South America and then introduced to Europe. Roman soldiers were said to have chewed the seeds to relieve hunger pangs, while Greek Olympians chewed the seeds to build muscle tone. The seeds and oil have an earthy strong licorice flavor and scent.

APPLICATIONS: In massage oils it is useful for settling troubled stomachs. For the treatment of bruises it may diluted and used in a compress. It is a natural diuretic and is used in blends for detoxifying and relieving water retention. In skin oils it may help relieve puffy eyes.

NOTES: Do not use during pregnancy. Do not use if you suffer from epilepsy. Do not use on children under 6.
