Formulary: Massage Bar with Massage Beads
© 2004 DIY Cosmetics Rebecca Midkiff Do not reprint or publish without permission of the author
This is a hard "lotion bar" with thick or solid oils. Because the oils are hard there is no need for beeswax. One side with tapioca pearls will be a massage side and the other side will be smooth. I like to use this on the drier areas of my body such as feet and elbows. Add up to 3% of peppermint oil of Menthol for a cooling effect on the skin.

Instructions
- Measure out all your ingredients into a metal or glass pot or bowl.
- Melt on the stovetop or the microwave.
- Try to heat them just to the point where the oils are melted. Cocoa Butter takes the longest to melt so you could melt this first and then add the other oils.
- When all the oils are melted you may then add any scent.
- Pour the melted oils into your mold.
- When the oils start to harden a bit, sprinkle your tapioca pearls on to the top so they sink in about half way.
- Let the oils completely cool and then harden.
- Remove from the mold and store in a cool place.
