Mineral Makeup in 5 Minutes

5 Minute Mineral Makeup
We have put this recipe together specifically for our small battery operated hand mixer. This will loosely fill approximately
  • 1 60 gram pot
  • 2 30 gram pots
  • 3 10 gram pots
  • 2 powder dispensing brushes
There is no need to pre-blend your pigments with a base. Our mixer easily blends the mixture in 2 minutes. I turn the mixture upside down every so often and shake it as I am mixing to make sure all the powders are well mixed.

Extender (mica coated with colloidal titanium)
1 level teaspoon
Ultra Fine Mica (serectite less than 15 microns)
1 level teaspoon
Micronized Zinc Oxide
1 level 1/2 teaspoon
Tapioca, Rice or Corn Flour
2 level teaspoons
Magnesium Stearate
2 small scoops
Pigment (creamy beige)
1 heaping small scoop brown oxide

Instructions: Measure all your ingredients into the clear pot that screws on to the mixture. Screw on the lid tightly and turn on the button. Mix for at least one full minute. If the final color needs adjusting as your pigment as needed. Use just a tiny, tiny pinch at a time to adjust.
Variations:
  • For a more ivory tone add a small pinch of yellow
  • For a darker skin tone add a pinch of black
  • For a rosier complexion add a pinch of red
  • For a sallow complexion use a scoop of tan with a pinch of brown
These are suggestions and each person may need to make further adjustments to suit their own complexions.
