Instructions for Blending without Electric Equipment

For small amounts it is very simple to blend your makeup by hand.  The following is for 1 pot of loose makeup.

Choose the color closest to your skin tone from one of our Pre Blended Foundation Bases.

Measure out 1 teaspoon of one of our Pre-Blended Foundation Bases and 2 small scoops of pigment.

Use your spatula to cut your pigment through your powder. Work at 90 degree angles and cuts them together at least 30 times.

 Pour your powder into a baggie.

Massage your powder in the bag. I also use a motion similar to scrubbing out a spot from fabric. This technique works very well. When you feel it’s thoroughly mixed pour it back onto your paper.

Use your spatula to check the powder and make sure there is not streaking. That means that the pigment is not mixed through well enough. Use a motion much like putting frosting on a cake but press down harder.

If you are satisfied, check the powder for color match on the inside of your arm. If you need to adjust it add more pigment and go through the procedure again.  These pictures are for example only. The two scoops we used were just the right color. Put your product into one of our nice pots.
