After much research I have chosen to stock synthetic brushes only. Times have changed and synthetic brushes are now every bit as high in quality and soft and their natural counterparts. Some advantages of using synthetic bristles are that they don’t harbor dead skin cells and bacteria in the way that natural bristles do. This can cause breakouts. They are also less likely to cause any type of allergic reaction. Our synthetic brushes are handmade of the highest quality taklon, they're super soft and ideal for applying loose mineral makeup evenly.
Applying makeup with a luxurious soft brush is a sensual and pampering experience much like wearing the softest cashmere against your skin..A good brush is a precious handmade instrument and just holding one against your skin can make you feel glamorous and creative.
Most women can pare down their brush collection to four or five essential brushes. Whatever your choice you should buy the best that you can afford. The better your brush is, the better the makeup application. With the proper care your brushes should last you a long time.
When applying your makeup before your brush touches your skin you should always give it a tap to remove the excess product. This way you start your application with exactly the amount of color you need.
Caring for your Brush
Ideally you should clean your brush from once a day to once a week. Check your brushes for buildup and matting.
To wash the brush, use a mild shampoo. Pour a tiny bit of shampoo into your hand and gently swish the brush in your hand. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Never get the barrel wet or you will start to break down the glue and start losing bristles.
Reshape your brush as you would a wet sweater.
Lay the brush flat on a sink with the head hanging over the edge so the air can reach the bristles.
